Hi Friends! It’s my favorite time of the year with the staging season in full swing. I love helping clients prepare their houses to go on the market – stretching all of my creative muscles to make what people already own look fabulous – my dream job. It’s amazing what kind of magic can happen when an expert steps in and repositions the furniture, rehangs the artwork, and places the decor.
That said, this week Arhaus reached out and asked me to switch gears and put together a dream room based on their beautiful collection. I jumped at the chance to build an imaginary room from the ground up.
To begin with, I’ve been obsessed with sectionals that incorporate ottomans instead of a chaise at one end. While I love to put my feet up for a movie, I also want the flexibility to pull that huge ottoman out and seat a few friends for a party. This made the Pavo Sectional a perfect choice.
I also knew right away that I wanted something cool and fresh as we head into spring. Time to put away the earth tones. Whites, blues, and jute felt like just the ticket.
1 Easterly Wind Print : 2 Embroidered Ikat Pillow : 3 Theo Jute Rug in Beige : 4 Kellen Floor Lamp : 5 Malou Small Basket : 6 Tansy Chair : 7 Corso Chair : 8 Arnhem White Slice and Wildflower Nesting Table : 9 Adelaide Coffee Table
I love the detail on the Adelaide coffee table. It takes mid-century modern and gives it a little glamour with hand painted detail.
As a stager and redesigner, being able to change things up for the next season without spending a lot of money is never far from my mind. I decided to bring in some of the warm brass (making such a huge comeback) which would be gorgeous when we move into the fall. I’m not ready to think about that yet though!
To finish off the space of course I would add a classic linen drape in warm white and the Orson Pendant.
The only thing missing now is big floor plant.
